NOTE: There is no cleaning deposit for the cabins however we ask that cabins are left in the same condition in which they were found. If the staff has to spend excessive time and energy cleaning up after you, an invoice will be billed to your credit card or mailed to your home. Each cabin has a list of cleaning procedures. If you do not plan to clean the cabin, please let us know when you book so we can arrange to have it cleaned for you, and collect a cleaning fee while you are still with us.
Cancellation Policy: If you wish to change or cancel reservations, you should do so at least a week or more in advance-we will charge you 25% for a cabin or tent site should we not be given one week's notice. People who simply do not show up will be charged full price. In the past we have had to disappoint people because of full bookings so please give us as much notice as possible about cancellations.

During the summer, we answer the phone from 6:30AM until 9PM. We also take calls year round. An answering machine is on when we are unable to come to the phone. If you get the answering machine, please leave a message and we'll return your call as soon as possible. All messages will be taken in priority sequence- first in, first out, and returned in that order The best time to reach us is after 7pm Atlantic Time Zone during the winter months.
If you would like to make a reservation, we will need the following information:
- First and last name of the person booking the reservation and the name of the card holder who is paying for it
- Mailing Address
- Phone (day and evening)
- Preferred sailing date(s)
- The number of adults and kids in the party
- Arrival date
- Payment method (Cash, Mastercard or Visa (we need a number and expiration date)
Please note that at the time of the reservation, we do not take any amount from your card - it only serves as a deposit. If you would prefer, we will take a personal check for 25% to hold your reservation until your arrival.

Gift Certificates: Do you have someone on your shopping list that would like a weekend stay on Grand Manan for a holiday, birthday, anniversary, or employee rewards gift? We can provide a gift certificate good for a cabin! Just give us your Visa/MC number to reserve your selection and we'll send the certificate to you or whomever you'd like. Then they can call us and arrange the dates. We won't charge your Mastercard or Visa until they use it
kind of like deferred billing, which could come in handy around holiday time when you have all those other gifts to buy.
Fall Bookings:September is a great time to see whales and enjoy the island. After the first week, few tourists are around which makes it difficult for local tours to get enough people to sail on a specific day so if you plan on September whale watching on Grand Manan please be flexible! Let us know when you will arrive and depart and we will do our best to help arrange for a whale watching trip sometime during your stay. It is very difficult to get people out who are not staying on the island since weather also plays a bigger role and can change dramatically in the time it takes the ferry to cross.
Map & Directions: We are located on the island of Grand Manan, between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in the Bay of Fundy, Canada. Grand Manan is the largest island in an archipelago of approximately 40 island and rocky ledges situated at the entrance to the Bay of Fundy. The Bay is famous for the largest tides in the world and is the summer home to many marine creatures. A 90-minute ferry ride from Black's Harbour, New Brunswick brings you and your vehicle to Grand Manan, a unique island of cliffs and tidal flats with functioning fishing villages where life runs to the pulse of tide and wind.

Blacks Harbour - North Head Ferry:- For detailed Ferry information, please visit the Coastal Transport web site at www.coastaltransport.ca. To catch the ferry to Grand Manan, you need to arrive an hour or so in advance of the ferry you hope to take. There are no reservations to go from Blacks Harbour to Grand Manan (and no fees in that direction, either). Though you cannot make a reservation to get onto Grand Manan, you can make one to get off the island the morning before you plan to leave. If you require reservations, please let us know upon your arrival.
Directions to Grand Manan Sealand Adventures - Castalia Marsh:
CLICK map for larger view | From the ferry landing at North Head, proceed south on Rte. # 776 through North Head. At the T-junction, bear left, continuing on Rte. 776. Go through Castalia, past the NB Liquor Store and Grand Manan Motors (gas station) on your right. Castalia Marsh will be on your left. Watch for the white schooner-shaped sign on your left under the Bancroft Point Road street sign. Turn left onto Bancroft Point Road (first left after gas station and the marsh). You will see our sign; we are the third driveway on the left. Once in the driveway bear right towards the Barn. (The house to the left is a neighbor's home and is not part of our operation.) You can use the intercom or the bell just outside the barn to let us know you've arrived.
Have a safe, fun trip! We look forward to seeing you.
|
If you're coming from the U.S. please note that Grand Manan is in the Atlantic Time Zone - one hour later than Eastern Standard Time so be sure to allow an extra hour to catch the ferry once you cross into New Brunswick.
